Why am I seeing question marks in Apple's iOS UI Library?
If you’ve recently installed or updated Apple’s iOS UI Library, you might notice some text layers with missing characters — denoted by a ⍰
. These missing characters are related to the new SF Symbols feature.
To show the correct SF Symbols instead of missing characters, you’ll need to do the following:
- Open the Font Book application on your Mac and completely uninstall all copies of Apple’s SF Pro font (don’t forget to empty the trash).
- Head to Apple’s Design Resources and download the latest version of the SF Pro font (you might also want to download the SF Symbols application while you’re there).
- Quit Sketch and restart your Mac.
- Open any document using Apple’s iOS UI library in Sketch and confirm there are no more missing character symbols.
